ARTx3 Campus Invites the Public to ‘Adopt-A-Camper’

The ARTx3 Campus is expanding its 2024 summer camp program to include more classes, more spots for students, and more opportunities to learn new skills in the arts and sciences. This year, it is offering eight camps for ages 7-17 in art, theater, poetry, hip-hop, outer space and engineering graphics.

To help ensure that every child has a chance to participate, the ARTx3 Campus is launching its Adopt-A-Camper campaign for 2024. This is the second year of the program, which encourages members of the public to help with summer camp scholarships for students in need. Based on a family’s income, the ARTx3 Campus offers partial and full scholarships to help families cover camp tuition.

A donation of $120 funds a full scholarship for a child. However, any amount is welcome and all contributions are tax-deductible.

“Adopt-A-Camper is one of our most important fundraisers because every dollar goes directly to supporting children’s education,” said Erica Kriner, ARTx3’s development coordinator. “My childhood was shaped by my experience with the ARTx3 summer camps, and we believe every child deserves that chance to thrive.”

To contribute, visit artx3.org/product/donate. Donors can select “Adopt-A-Camper” from the menu to earmark their contribution to the program.

Donations may also be made over the phone with a credit card by calling Kriner at 870-536-3375. Donors can also give by check. Mail to: Adopt-A-Camper, The Arts & Science Center, 701 S. Main St., Pine Bluff, AR 71601. Donations are also accepted in person at The Arts & Science Center during business hours — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays — at the same address.
